Amber

Amber's the sun's colour
And amber is a beautiful colour

When I look at you I see the sun
I see the flaming burning amber within you as it burns and withers

You can see amber on the night sky 
with your clear naked eye
but it's too hard to see
because it's so shiny
and to think that amber is singing
and see an angel with shiny bright wings
You think that an angel taking you in heaven
But it's just an imagination

Amber is a colour that I always want to see

Just like a sun that shine in the sky

When I stare at the amber skies as the sun set, I thought of bright sap dripping off of dark tree bark.

Amber is the beautiful colour of the sun

Amber is a god of yellows and looks the best

My coat of arms/crest

What is a coat of arms?
The coat of arms is the distinctive heraldic, bearings or shield of person, family, corporation or country.

Why do we have them?
Because it was useful to the heralds while they were touring the battlefield identifying the dead.

Why are they important?
Because it is as the main symbol on the covers of passports.
And it is a national symbol which donates an independent state in the form of a heraldic achievement

What did you include in your crest and why?
Jollibee, because it is my favourite restaurant

What I already knew about crests?
that it had feathers, fur or skin on the head of an animal on it.

What I found interesting about crests?
I found the designs pretty interesting

What do I want to learn about crests?
I want to know who made them.

Methods

How to make a sandwich

• get your hands cleaned
• get some bread
• get a knife
• get something you could use to put your bread on
• get some butter
• get a piece of bread
• use your knife to spread the butter all over the bread
• then fold the bread

Because sometimes it gets confusing if the method is not detailed

Sundials

Sundials

Did you know that sundials tells you the time like a clock when there is sunlight in the position of the sundial. I found out that when the sun shines on the sundial, it casts shadow that appear on different positions on the sundial. I did not know that when the sun is the highest in the sky it casts short shadow of the stick and the longer shadow of the stick when the sun is low in the sky.

 


I didn't know how to make a sundial at the first place
I found out that the mathematician and astronomer Theodosius of Bithynia was the one who invented the sundials

How I made it:
We made our sundial by cutting a wood until it look like a hexagon but cut in half and then glued the gnomon on the bottom middle

What I learnt:
I've learnt how to make a sundial that is made out of wood

What I had fun with:
I had fun designing our sundial

What I found difficult
I found it difficult to get all the numbers on their correct places on my first try
